The 2020 presidential election has many stories and one of them is what happened when Donald J. Trump was declared to be the winner. There are a lot of speculations around this. Some of my thoughts are based on what I’ve read in the media and what we are seeing in America.
Also, some of these issues are going to happen during this upcoming year. It might not happen this time but it will hopefully change how things are going. But for now, let’s just focus on two major events with President-elect Joe Biden. First, they both came from different countries with different backgrounds. While he holds a very successful career as a lawyer at Barakat and a son served in Iraq, his opponent was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
His father, Barack Obama, is an African American with a degree in political science from Harvard University. He then went to Stanford University, where he earned a law degree and graduated with an MBA. On top of that, he has experience in government but he never got to serve at any level so that makes him seem like a less experienced person compared with President Trump. Second, the race was also about whether Biden would bring more unity in the nation or keep Trump on the front lines. Both candidates have proven they can bring unity but to me, it seems to be closer to Biden because he has worked to help people all along the way. With their own views, beliefs and backgrounds, the president of the United States shouldn’t really worry about who is elected just yet.
Not only is he already the first black man to become president of the united states, but he is also a leader that is trying to unite the country for all Americans. To me, he is doing all the right things. I am also looking forward to working with Joe Biden on a number of occasions. Like in other times, he hasn’t done anything so far that shows he is up for the job. Most likely, he wouldn't be able to do too much if he doesn't get help first. The last thing that caught my attention was when he said that it wouldn't be easy to win a second term. As I can see, not many voters were excited about what he is saying about doing everything possible. In fact, he didn't even mention Donald Trump by name yet. So the statement that he made is saying to take a deep breath. Maybe he needs a little bit more time to think about everything properly before making such a big and bold statement.
As soon as you get your vote on both candidates, the process starts. All states have to start receiving ballots. At least 11,000,000 plus, which will be received from all those around the world. Then there are some steps that happen in which states try to decide who will be the next president. The most important of which is the state certification step. This is when each state must make sure that the process is done correctly and does well. There will be two forms for the candidate to enter into when they apply for a certificate. One is called Form B and the other is Form A. They both have their own purposes but the form B is the short version of what is required. When they receive the final document, they can finally go to sign it and confirm their choice. Once a ballot has been casted, each county then goes into its own process. Some counties will only sign once, while others will wait until after several hours to finish the whole process. After the whole process has been completed, the states will have to certify the electors for the presidential election of the United States. In some cases, this process can take place before Christmas.
This year is going to be quite interesting. Joe Biden is going to beat out Donald Trump. You can tell that he is ready for this battle. Even though they have opposite parties, they may have a common goal and this will be something that will benefit everyone. For all the problems that Donald Trump could have had, especially since his family didn’t have very much money in the beginning of the campaign, he has had enough. And it is no surprise. Donald Trump was actually considered a racist because of his attitude towards minorities and women. During this part of the election, it is expected that he would be seen as the racist. But Joe Biden has to work hard to overcome the problem. I hope he takes this opportunity for the good of every single voter in America. Although, on another hand, this race isn't about who has better policy. What matters is who is bringing together us from our differences and make us unified.
